Siu Nim Tao is the first form in Wing Chun Keun.  It is considered the "little idea" or "little beginning".  I like to think of this form as the "tool box".  It contains all the tools you will need to build your Kung Fu.   Just like a tool box, these tools are in no particular battle order and knowing how to properly use each one is paramount.  The SNT also teaches the stance foundation and methodologies that are required to perform Wing Chun.  Of note: since the Siu Nim Tao is stationary on the Yee Chee Kim Yung Ma stance, the techniques reflect this. The SNT teaches us the correct elbow positions, center line movement, relaxed energy and technical structures.
